The Story
The Boro Work Short in Multi is a relaxed Work short silhouette, designed for ease and durability. Each pair is made from upcycled Hawaiian shirts, creating a one-of-a-kind composition of color and pattern.
Sashiko-stitched detailing reinforces areas of distress, adding texture while extending the life of the fabric. The result balances repair, utility, and individuality.
Working with âConcurâ a social enterprise in Thailandâs most southern province, âBoro For Peace by Wâmenswearâ is made by women artisans of the Muslim minority group in Yala province.
One third of Concurâs net profits are invested into improving the quality of life for these artisans whose lives have been affected by civil unrest in the region.
Through the art of Boro, we hope to shine a spotlight onto the ethnic Malay culture in Thailandâs Southern border provinces, increasing awareness and prosperity to their communities.
